A 60Hz monitor has an input lag of 17ms. A 144Hz monitor has an input lag of 7ms. Less than half the time required at 60Hz. A 240Hz monitor has an input lag of 4.16ms. So, higher refresh rate monitors have less input lag. Most regular PC users have nothing to worry about in terms of having higher input lag.

I figure at some point in PC gaming you just have to jump in; there's always going to be something over the horizon, but if you keep waiting you'll never buy anything.

If you are someone that says they can see a significant difference between 60 fps and 144 fps then maybe. I think size beats whatever small difference I see in 144 fps.
